The Deleted Scenes have been getting a lot of praise from the DC scene for the way they playfully mix the emotion of Jeff Buckley with the acid-trip sound of The Flaming Lips. According to their MySpace page, the band formed in 1998 after Dan Scheuerman and Matt Dowling met at a juvenile detention center... while visiting incarcerated relatives. The two didn't have to wait long before they were joined by bandmates Chris Scheffey and Brian Hospital who helped Deleted Scenes "take their nefarious bedroom scuzz into a live setting."
